Enochian Magick
A detailed system of ceremonial Magick developed by Dr. John Dee and Edward Kelly.
The books of Enochian Magick are often referred to as, Banned Books, Black Books or Forbidden Knowledge, because Enochian Magick is a portal to the realm of both Guardian and Fallen Angels.
Beginning in 1582 Dee and Kelly began a series of spirit communications and astral scrying, with Kelly acting as the medium and Dee recording everything that Kelly described. These were the secrets that were lost (Apocrypha) with the patriarch of the Bible known as Enoch - a number of Dee's notes are now at the British Museum in London.
Rediscovery of Enochian Magick by the Samuel Liddell and MacGregor Mathers of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn sparked remarkable publicity for the system in modern Occultism. Aleister Crowley, who worked with, and wrote about Enochian Magick extensively, has contributed greatly to its widespread use today.
Compared to other theories of Magick, Enochian Magic is strikingly more intricate, and most schools of thought agree that Enochian Magick is a particularly powerful form of Magick, and should be used wisely.
